Shakti Sankalp Safar – The Cycling Mission

Shakti Sankalp Safar is a 1 lakh km cycling mission across 28 states of India, starting from Umling La the world’s highest motorable pass—where even machines fail but the human spirit continues
So far, the journey has covered 42,900 km across 9 states of India, connecting with students, villagers, and communities in remote and highaltitude regions. The goal is to directly reach 1 lakh youth and create awareness about Fit India, drugfree living, and environmental responsibility, while contributing to Viksit Bharat 2047

Why 28 States?

Cycling 28 states allows us to see the real India—from the highaltitude roads of Ladakh, the forests of Madhya Pradesh, the deserts of Rajasthan, and the coastal regions of Gujarat
Each state teaches a different lesson about resilience, youth mindset, and the urgent need for fitness, discipline, and environmental care. This journey is not just about distance; it is about **deep, .humanlevel impact** that changes attitudes and habits of youth

[ Challenges & Learnings ]

Challenges That Built the Mission

Every kilometer tested the limits of endurance, resilience, and determination.
Through these experiences, the mission proves a powerful message to young people: no obstacle is too great when the mind is strong and the purpose is clear.
Cycling above 4,000 meters, where thin oxygen and harsh weather push both body and machine to their limits.
Repairing a broken cycle in the middle of Nubra Valley at night, using only basic tools and determination to continue the journey.
Resting in empty valleys or bus stands, waking up each morning ready to ride again despite exhaustion and uncertainty.
*These challenges shaped Shakti Sankalp Safar into a mission that inspires youth to believe that determination can overcome any obstacle.*
[ Environment & Awareness ]

Healthy Nation, Healthy Planet

As we cycle across mountains, forests, deserts, and rivers, we see firsthand how plastic waste pollution, and careless habits are affecting our villages and rivers

Reduce Plastic, Respect Nature
Young people are encouraged to reduce plastic usage, avoid littering, and adopt simple eco-friendly habits that keep villages, roads, and natural landscapes clean.
Inspiring Local Communities

During the journey, stories from the road highlight community clean-up efforts, responsible waste habits, and the role young people can play in protecting their environment.

Promoting Sustainable Travel

Cycling itself is a powerful example of low-carbon travel—showing how exploring India can be adventurous, healthy, and environmentally responsible at the same time.

A fit India must also be a clean and green India
